The games room now has two tables!
I opted for a non-folding trestle table from Bunnings Warehouse for $48, which I thought was a bargain. I could stand to have some more chairs but we can just pinch them from around the house for now. :)

August was a relatively quiet month with continued family illness and hassles. I made it to a couple of game nights/days but had to miss a few as well and was still not in the position to host anything formal here. I have much higher hopes for the warmer months! We are in February of Pandemic Legacy and everybody is really enjoying it. Even Brad! We have had 2 wins and one loss (so had to play February a second time). Still early days in our campaign. I have played more games of Above and Below with a variety of people and have still had only positive feedback. This one seems to go down well with everybody. Sadly, I couldn't afford to back the kickstarter for it's sequel, Near and Far, which came with an expansion encounter book for Above and Below. We are continuing to play games as a family (except for Brad). Katie absolutely loves Concept. She likes to make up her own ideas as well as use the cards. Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 (x2) The Castles of Burgundy Catan Monopoly Splendor Sushi Go! Concept Ticket to Ride: 10th Anniversary Most Enjoyed: Pandemic Legacy Why? The effects on the game of what happens as you play are just really cool, which makes it a fun, unfolding experience and makes it more interesting than regular Pandemic which I find pretty average, Least Enjoyed: Monopoly Why? Drawn out gameplay that is incredibly repetitive and not at all engaging for any of us. We have all played games we enjoy a lot more. |
